FAQ
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in repetitive thought patterns, struggling with OCD or intrusive thoughts, navigating a difficult life transition, experiencing relationship challenges, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy may help. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy—many people come to therapy because they want to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping skills, and create lasting change.
What types of therapy do you use?
Every client is unique, so I tailor therapy to your individual needs and goals. My approach integrates evidence-based treatments, including:
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
-
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
-
Mind-body approaches
-
Somatic
My goal is to provide both practical tools and deeper insight so that change feels meaningful and sustainable.
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. I offer secure telehealth sessions for clients throughout California, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
Yes. I offer in-person therapy in Los Angeles, providing a warm and welcoming space where you can feel supported throughout your therapeutic journey.
Do you work with couples?
Yes. I work with couples who want to improve communication, rebuild trust, strengthen emotional connection, navigate conflict, or better understand relationship patterns.
How long does therapy usually last?
The length of therapy depends on your goals and the concerns you're bringing in. Some clients benefit from short-term therapy focused on a specific issue, while others choose longer-term therapy for deeper personal growth and lasting change. We'll regularly review your progress and adjust our work together as your needs evolve.
What can I expect during the first session?
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss what's bringing you to therapy, your goals, your personal history, and any questions you may have about the process. My priority is creating a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and supported from the very beginning.
Do you assign homework between sessions?
Sometimes. Depending on your goals, I may recommend exercises, mindfulness practices, journaling, reading, or other skills to help reinforce what we discuss in session. Any recommendations are collaborative and tailored to your individual needs.
How do I know if I have OCD or just anxiety?
Many people wonder whether their experiences are anxiety, OCD, or something else entirely. During therapy, we'll explore your symptoms together to better understand what you're experiencing and develop a treatment plan that fits your needs. If OCD is present, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is considered one of the most effective treatments available.
Do you accept insurance?
Please contact me directly for the most current information about accepted insurance plans, out-of-network benefits, and private pay options. I'm happy to discuss your options and answer any questions before scheduling your first appointment.
